Wilkinson County is located in the middle of the state. It was created in 1803 and named for General James Wilkinson, a native of Maryland and a soldier of the American Revolutionary War. The biographical sketches were submitted by the families themselves.
Hansford A. Hall, farmer, Toombsboro, Wilkinson Co., GA, was born in May 1844. He was raised on the farm and educated at the near by county schools. He taught school in 1861, and the next year enlisted in Company A., Capt. (afterward Colonel) S. T. Player, Forty-ninth Georgia regiment. …etc…
