Named for General Benjamin Lincoln of Revolutionary War fame, Lincoln County in middle Tennessee is one of the important counties in Tennessee as this was where many of the Federal Revolutionary War land grants were made. This Will Book for the time period of 1827 up to 1850 is a full transcription of the entries in the original book. The W.P.A. workers in 1936 typed this up from the original and we were able to secure an onion skin carbon copy of the pages and reprinted from those pages to make this information available without entering more mistakes by transcribing a transcription.
