Lewis County, located in western Tennessee on the Natchez Trace with much of their history relating to the Trace is important today for many other activities in their area. The Churches at Union on Beaverdam and Flat Rock both on Cane Creek came together in 1878 to join as one to created Union Church of Christ showing a combined membership at the time of 122 persons.
