JAMES C. NEVES, miller and planter, Fort Gaines, Clay Co., GA, was born July 8, 1852, on Kalomokee Creek, and is of an old Virginia family which settled in Georgia toward the close of the last century. In 1787 William Neves, the grandfather of the subject of this sketch, came from Virginia and settled in what became Jones county – now known as Putnam county. Etc….
