Anderson County, Kentucky was created in 1827 out of the lands of Franklin, Mercer and Washington Counties, Kentucky. The materials for the history and biographies are taken from two older volumes, History of Kentucky by Lewis Collins printed in about 1882 and Kentucky: A History of the State by W. H. Perin, J. H. Battle and G. C. Kniffin printed in 1885. The personal data came from the families themselves, therefore, the information should be more correct that other data.
