Giles County, located in middle Tennessee on the Alabama border, is one county often found in the history of Tennessee. The records in this volume are those of the committee that built the Pisgah or as sometimes called Mount Pisgah Camp Ground or Church in late 1860s. They are very complete in that they describe the exact building materials and details of how the church was to be constructed. In addition, the names of all of the contributors to the building fund are listed with the amount they contributed. Finally, a brief history of the church/camp ground is given from the perspective of the 1860s.
Specification 7: There is to be one window in the gable of the rear end, the opening to be 3 by 5 feet, the frame to be cased of 5 inch lumber and closed with blind.
